Lead By The Spirit Or By The Body?

...Are you lead by the spirit or by the body?

The difference is not small, because it is what you use as a key method for decision making throughout life...

When lead by the body, one is easily enslaved to evil, because it is all about sensual pleasures...

Meaning, how can I get what I want now? Is this going to make me feel good or feel bad?

When lead by the spirit however, one is guided by God...

Meaning, is this right? Is this moral? Is this in service to God and goodness?

You see the difference...

God tells us in His Word what he hates; yes he does hate things... contrary to what sooth sayers spout...

Let me clarify this for you, God does not hate people, He made you and He loves you.

It is wicked behaviour he hates, in other words, evil thoughts + actions...

He hates them not for no reason, but precisely because such behaviours lead to self destruction, and he wants none of us to perish...

In relation to this topic of being led by the body instead of spirit, God tells us in scripture how this is not just what you do with your hands, but it is also what you think in your mind...

For what you are willing to entertain in your thoughts... you are willing to do with your body, the two are inseparable...

"And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." ~ Genesis 6:5

You see we humans learn through knowledge as well as observation, we are subject to the influence of the people we pay attention to throughout life...

If we were to depend purely on our willpower to abstain from wicked imaginations whilst in the devil's pit, so the speak, we would be constantly setting ourselves traps to fail...

In fact I'm sure many of you can think of a situation(s) in your life where that has been the case for you...

You acted out of character because of who you were with and what they were encouraging you to do...

Thus, it requires a conscious effort to shape your environment both external and internal, to be imbued with the goodness of God, not the perversions of satanism...

You see, evil teaches people "Do what thou wilt" which literally means, deny God, be lawless and worship yourself...

The devil doesn't care if you worship him specifically, or a calf, or money, or a wooden statue, the stars... whatever... As long as it's not the One True God...

That's why satanists will tell you they don't necessarily believe in satan, but in his "ideology" of self worship...

"For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened." ~ Romans 1:20-21

True freedom is in God's law, the law of liberty which is centred in accountability and true purpose...

And you can only come to know this when you accept God as your Creator and build a personal relationship with Him...

It is the lawlessness of evil that is actually enslavement,...which we can see through endless examples in the world...

So if you spend time with God for example in prayer and in reading His Word, studying and so on... Then your mind is filled with Goodness, spiritual food... The light...

The more time you spend cultivating an environment that reflects God's character, the less you will have to fight the wicked imaginations that torment people, who leave the back door of their emotional brain wide open...

The more time you spend however on seeking euphoric sensual experiences, the further away from God you will become, and emptier, unhealthier, always wanting more and feeling less.... Enslavement to evil...

God's way is the only true way, that's why it's called the straight and narrow path...

Don't be dazzled by the circus of the devil which is leading you to a dark ditch...

Choose the wisdom of the God that made you and ask Him directly for guidance.

Til next time,
